Fun new set
Very cute, new Star Wars Lego set. Easy to put together for your 6 year old with a nice amount of mini-figures.

PRO’s-5 nice and very cool mini-figures (2 Hoth Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, Hoth Han Solo) plus a great looking Taun Taun figure (so I guess you could say 6 figures). Cool looking Snowtrooper weapon and a rotating gun turret with a hidden door and top hatch to hold a figure. Also neat is behind the ‘snow’ wall the two Hoth Troopers stand on a tilting platform. When you push down on the center section you can snap the figures into the air simulating an expolsion.

CON’s- The turret at times comes off too easily from the base but it’s still very playable.

I recommend it for younger Star Wars Lego fans and for fans looking for some neat figures.

It’s going to be a great Christmas gift!

Great Lego Toy!
My son loved this lego set, but the box was received was all dented up and looked very poor! So this didn’t look like a “new” gift. I wouldn’t have given it this way to another child, but my son didn’t care. Poor shipping or something!

Great playset, great pieces!
My 7 year old son just got the Loot Island Pirates set for his birthday, and it’s fantastic! As a playset, it has lots going for it… it builds a neat little island where two pirates are guarding their treasure chest as a British army-type soldier approaches in a boat. Despite the soldier’s cool cannon – which can really shoot a round stud brick with serious power – the pirates are likely to win, since little boys always like the bad guys best.

There are tons of great pieces in this set, which makes it an especially good buy if you like to take your sets apart to build custom layouts. My son was especially impressed with the dark green crocodile, the light-colored treasure chest loaded with jewels, the fish and new-style campfire flames, the boat, the island base, and of course the cannon. Overall, a great Pirates set and a great value!

Lego’s Loot Island
My grandson is really into pirates and so was thrilled when he received this for his 4th birthday. He needed help putting it together, but has enjoyed using it. As the pieces are small it doesn’t withstand very rough play, but he has learned that, if he wants it to stay together, he needs to be more gentle in his play. The thing that really disappointed me was the price…I found it at another store for ONE HALF the price.

Good to have in my collection
Not the best Pirates set, but still fun. I like the base plate and the minifigs. LEGO should have used coconut-tree-truck pieces for the coconut trees, instead of the brown cylindrical pieces. Good enough, though.
