Labyrinth Card Game

Product Description

Labyrinth Card Game is a great way for Labyrinth addicts to play their favorite game anywhere, anytime. Like all Labyrinth games, the idea is to build connecting paths on an ever-changing play field. To start the game, randomly place four maze cards in the center of the table to form a square. The remaining maze cards are placed in a pile where all players can reach them. Each player then draws two maze cards and puts them face up in front of them. On your turn, add one of your cards to the growing maze. In order to be able to take a card from the maze, there must be a path formed from one of the treasures on the card you played to a matching treasure somewhere else in the maze. If this is the case, you can take the card with the same treasure as the card you just played and it will be counted as one of your points at the end of the game. However, you cannot take the card from the maze if it leaves another maze card disconnected. If you cannot form a path to a matching treasure with either of your cards, simply connect one of your cards to the maze and draw another card. When the card deck has been depleted, the player who collected the most cards from the maze wins the game. Labyrinth Card Game is recommended for ages 7 and up.

Great spin off from the original Labyrinth5
Labyrinth – The Card Game is a great spin off from the original board game version. This game different from the board version but contains the same concept of building mazes, having some luck, and some strategy. This game is good for older elementary children through adults and works for as few as two people to as many as six.

To win the Labyrinth game you must collect as many as prize cards as possible. To do this a player must build a route connecting two matching symbols over as long a maze as possible.

This card version is much more portable than the board version, making it a good travel game.

Terrific game, esp. for travel!5
We got this after we liked Labrynth Jr., and it has been great — better than the board game version, in fact. We love the variety of the game, and it’s as easy or difficult as you want to make it. This version can only last as long as there are cards in the deck … the board game can go on a long time if we’re being strategic.

Like Lbrynth, this promotes logic and reasoning and strategic thinking, which are facets we like as parents. And it’s fun, which we just plain like!! Highly recommend getting this to keep in your travel bags, it’s great for killing time in airports and such.

Wonderful game5
We have been playing the board version of this game for 17 years, and bought this game to travel with. It is great fun and has gone with us on many ski trips and family vacations. Fun for kids and adults. I highly recommend this game.

A flexible, imaginative, and beautifully made game.5
I am a child psychologist, and this game has been a fixture in my office for 15 years. It promotes concentration and working memory, imagination, and a fun competitiveness devoid of aggression. What I find helpful is that the rules of the game are easily adapted to suit different age groups. An outstanding game.

Enchanting memory and strategy game5
My daughter has loved this game since she was six years old. The craftsmanship of the game itself is beautiful. The game-pieces and the little trees are wooden, and the illustrations are of the old-fashioned fairytale variety, very intricate and colourful. The cards are good, thick cardboard and will stand up to years of use. It looks like a very old game that one would find in an attic trunk. Winning depends on such a variety of strategy, memory, and just plain luck that a combination of ages can play concurrently and feel equally challenged. I recommend The Enchanged Forest highly. It is a feast of colours, a delight to behold and touch, and it provides good mental exercise. What more could you ask?

Enchanted All Over Again5
The Enchanted Forest was my favorite game as a child, and I can still vividly remember it as an adult. The illustrations and board design have an old-world, “once-upon-a-time” feeling, and the wooden playing pieces enhance the fairy tale image. I thought that I would never again see this unique game, and I am thrilled that it is still available. Buy this game and you, too, will be enchanted!

Editorial Review
Building roads, railroads, and waterways is the object of this cooperative picture-matching game. The 2-inch square tiles have illustrations of the above printed on one side with some railroad stations and harbors, too. Each player draws 10 tiles and sets about matching river to river, road to road and rail to rail. The first to use up all their tiles wins. But this nonreading game is really about cooperation. The different paths and combinations create so many different possibilities that no two paths are alike. –Lynne Sampson

Most requested game in our household5
Even the littlest one (3 years old) loves R, R, & R. He doesn’t understand the “game” part, but he loves looking at the pieces, and he has figured out how the matching works.
Treating it more like a puzzle than a turn-based game makes it fun for everybody — you spend as little or as long on it as you want, and then you come back to it later.
Our household challenge is to use all the pieces in as compact a shape as possible. My husband is obsessed with putting together a perfect rectangle. Hasn’t happened yet, but he keeps trying!

For puzzle lovers4
Ravensburger products are easy to love because of their high quality. These game tiles (like Ravensburger’s puzzle pieces) are thick, colorful with great detail, and wipe clean when you spill on them. I enjoy puzzles and so this is a fun game for me, creating a maze of rivers, roads, and railways that begin and end at houses, bridges, towns and dams. The game can last an overly long time, so my kids don’t enjoy it as much.

Educational and fun game5
This game promotes many educational skills, available to use even with very young children, including matching, visual discrimination, vocabulary building, sequencing and in addition it is a fun game to play turning out different picture representation every time!
