My 8 year old son found the instructions very easy follow and the robot moves with ease. He is very happy with this product and is excited about getting the rest of the set.

RDA Makes a Darn Good Display
I’ve outgrown toys, and I accept this…but this toy managed to lure me into purchasing it. It’s a pretty big toy, too, standing at approximately 7-9 inches tall, it looks great and cooler than your classic movie toy.

I’ve heard about the problems with assembly and how the articulation is faulty and how the gun and knife don’t stay in the hands, but these are minor problems if, like me, you want to use it as a display on your shelf. The gun DOES take some talent and patience to pose and the knife stays in play if you position it right, and the articulation is just fine.

I hope you enjoy this toy!

Good product overall with some glitches.
I bought this for my son after seeing the movie. I was afraid of the quality because the packaging did not have windows and I would have to put it together. Not to worry. The assembly was not hard and it looks just like the picture on the box. The only con is the legs keep coming off. My son got to where he was playing without the legs on because of that. I solved that by putting a thin, long piece of grey duct tape around the top of the legs (wrap it around the whole body and both legs at least 2 times). It still has movement when you do this. He was very happy I came up with this idea instead of super glue. The gun is loose in his hand and the knife falls out of the other, but doesn’t seem to bother my son. This is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Endless fun
I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and both love this toy. My 5 year says that it is “awesome”. They have played with the Kid K’nex for at least an hour every day for the last month with no signs of stopping.

The pieces are large (unlike the tiny K’nex for older children) and easily manipulated with small hands. This makes them great for fine motor skills practice.

I love that my children are using their imagination to create a variety of objects, both real and invented. My husband even joins in the play and makes his own designs. The set does come with illustrations of suggested creations, but my kids didn’t look at them and I think that this allowed them to be more creative.

Although this set is marketed for educational settings (I learned about them at my son’s preschool), I highly recommend buying one for home. At first glance it may appear expensive but it is a great value because kids play with it alot. This is not the $10 toy that is already gathering dust a week later.

Enjoy this toy and the imagination that it brings out in your children!

Fun and educational in many ways!
I discovered Kid K’Nex while working as a preschool teacher. I noticed how the kids not only used the provided pictures to make little creatures, but they also used their imaginations to make many other things, like suns, flowers, cups with straws, etc. They even made workout dumbells! I decided to buy these for my 3-year-old great-niece, and she loves them! She can easily play with them herself (with supervision), but I have a lot of fun playing with her and creating new things as well. These toys are great for fine motor skills, color recognition and imaginative play. They also keep the children’s attention for a long time. The set does have small parts, so be there when children are playing with them, and make sure the kids are 3 or older. All in all – an excellent value!

Fun for All
This was a gift for one of our grandsons, but the whole family – grandma and grandpa included – have had fun with it. It is an excellent activity for children to look at an item as a whole and then find all the individual parts it takes to make a whole. It also can be a very creative tool allowing the child to make new and interesting creations. Even for the younger child, it provides educational play….separating the parts by color or shape, counting how many of each shape there are and which number is greater or lesser…..can occupy a four year old for hours! Good buy.
